Preparation of a Heterogeneous Catalyst CuO-Fe2O3/CTS-ATP and Degradation of Methylene Blue and Ciprofloxacin

A heterogeneous particle catalyst (CuO-Fe2O3/CTS-ATP) was synthesized via injection molding and ultrasonic immersion method, which is fast effective. The applied attapulgite (ATP) wrapped by chitosan (CTS) as support, loaded dual metal oxides CuO Fe2O3 active components. After a series of characterizations catalysts, it found that were successfully evenly on the surface CTS-ATP support. used to degrade methylene blue (MB) ciprofloxacin (CIP), experimental results showed degradation ratios MB CIP can reach 99.29% 86.2%, respectively, in optimal conditions. mechanism as-prepared analyzed according its synthesis process ∙OH production, double-cycle catalytic proposed. intermediate products also identified HPLC-MS, possible pathways put forward.
